Stockholm
Stockholm is the capital and main city of Sweden.

The city of Stockholm is administratively a municipality in the province of Stockholm.

Known for its beauty, its buildings and architecture, its clean waters and its many parks, gardens and canals. Called "Venice of the North", the state capital, Stockholm is the seat of government, the Parliament (Riksdag), the Supreme Court (Hōgsta Domstolen). It also houses the Drottningholm Palace, official residence and office of the head of state, by Charles XVI Gustavo of Sweden. It is a multilingual city with a high presence of (foreign) students from German, Norwegian and French, among others.
Tourism
Here there is no monument or building of sweeping lines, historic park, church or palace that causes sighs. At least not internationally renowned. Its charm is in the harmony of the whole. Sitting on a large archipelago, where clean-water canals zigzag under endless bridges, the city exudes charm in its design shops (jewelry, crystal, furniture, whatever) and sometimes medieval, sometimes avant-garde architecture. This all makes tourists walk more slowly to appreciate such beauty. It's all charming. Most of its formidable museums do not charge admission, which is quite interesting. One of the city's best attractions is the Vasamuseet, which houses a 17th-century ship that sank on its debut voyage and was recovered and restored in the 20th century. Be sure to pass the Royal Palace - whose inhabitants, the Bernadotte dynasty, are descended from a Napoleonic Marshal; Storkyrkan Cathedral and the Nobel Prize Museum. Climb to the top of Katarinahissen for breathtaking views of the city and navigate the canals on a cruise. Finally, get lost in Gamla Stan, the beautiful medieval quarter, the oldest part of the city.
Gastronomy
Stockholm is a place for all the most dynamic places in all of Europe to delight the palate.

The city has a strong inclination for fish and seafood.

Try the local stromming. It is a version of herring, but small and absolutely delicious, typical of the Baltic, which prepares it in many ways, including marinade.
Weather
The city of Stockholm has a continental climate. Due to the latitude of the Swedish capital, the weather should be colder, but nonetheless mild due to the influence of the Gulf Stream. The average day length ranges from 18 hours in summer to 6 hours in winter, with the city enjoying 1981 hours of sunshine annually.

Summers are pleasant with a maximum temperature ranging from 20 to 23 ° C and a minimum around 15 ° C. Winters are cold with temperatures around 0 ° C. The annual rainfall is 539 mm, and the average wet day per year is 164. During the months of December to March snowfalls usually occur over the city for several weeks.
