The Canary Islands are the place with one of the best climates in the world to enjoy an exceptional holiday at any time of the year.
Its beaches, its volcanic nature, its lively and hospitable way of life and the possibility to choose between all kinds of outdoor activities, as well as a wide range of accommodation and leisure with quality.
It is very easy to be in the Canary Islands to stay in an idyllic beach resort or quiet rural retreat
These islands are known to be the sun center of Europe, and offer mild temperatures and a range of excellent natural attractions.
In fact, five of its seven islands have been declared Biosphere Reserve, and the archipelago has four national parks.
Its beaches are its most striking attractions, and are perfect for relaxing in the sun or enjoying water sports such as windsurfing and scuba diving.
Inside you have found incredible landscapes that are ideal for hiking, cycling, climbing and even caving. Some of the most spectacular include the volcanic landscape of Lanzarote, on the beaches of Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria, with its sand dunes, or the green forests of La Palma and La Gomera.

For those traveling in February you can have fun at the spectacular Carnival in Santa Cruz de Tenerife.
Gastronomy
Spaniards often refer to the Canary Islands as the Islas Afortunadas , because the sun shines practically all year round, their only borders being the sky and the sea, and having a fauna, flora and fauna. culture, in a way different from that of mainland Spain, being real treasures.
The typical person of the Canary Islands is noble, gentle, with traditions deeply routed yet a great sense of humor, reflected in the cuisine - the simple, nutritious and appetizing dishes are the result of the tradition of the Canary Islands.
The kitchen is so simple, that one of the main ingredients found in most dishes is the gofio . Gofio, roasted corn or wheat bran, can be served for breakfast as an accompaniment to the island's stews and is still used to prepare a special variety of local nougat. Their mojos are equally simple, spicy sauces that are served with most of the local dishes. The mojo picón (pepper, vinegar, olive oil, garlic, cumin, salt and paprika) and green mojo (made with parsley and coriander, and with a softer flavor ), have become real culinary institutions in the Canary Islands.
The Canary Islands is on the route to America and therefore in the past their cuisine has become influenced by American products such as tomatoes and potatoes. This tuber is the source of what undoubtedly makes it one of the most famous and typical dishes of the Canary Islands: wrinkled potatoes, small potatoes cooked in very salty water (if possible, with sea water) and are served accompanied by a spicy sauce, usually green mojo or red mojo.
Fish and spicy sauces
Fish is a vital component of the dishes of all the Canary Islands.
The fish is of the highest quality as the cherne, maiden fish, dentex, sea bass, sea bream, vogue, mackerel ... and most important, parrot fish.
The climate in the Canary Islands, very different from the rest of Spain, is perfect for growing certain types of fruit that can be qualified as tropical. To mention only the banana, as it is the most representative product of the islands, is not enough, as there are many other varieties of fruits. Papaya, pear melon, peach, mango, avocado and pineapple.
Climate
In the Canary Islands, spring is eternal.
Temperatures between the seasons vary only around 6ºC, and average temperatures are between 18ºC and 24ºC (64.4º F and 75.2º F), meaning that there are ideal beach conditions all year round.
Due to the islands geographical location, very close to the African coast, the climate of the islands is subtropical, with amazing landscapes, the high snow-capped mountains very close to the beaches, giving an additional attraction. The water temperature varies from 22ºC in summer and 19ºC in winter.
In La Palma, Tenerife and Gran one can find tropical rains throughout the year, while Fuerteventura and Lanzarote are very dry because they guarantee sun almost without interruption.
