The Strohhotel Holidayfarm is a 3-minute walk from the centre of Altikon. It offers a shared dorm room with straw bedding, a pillow and linen on which guests can put sleeping bags. The unit has shared bathroom facilities in a separate building. A common room is also available.

Half-board is available upon request, and the Strohhotel's barbecue facilities can be used against a surcharge.

There is space in front of the farm to play. Private parking can be used on site free of charge.

A grocery shop and the local bus stop can all be found in the village centre.

The Thur River and the local train station are 2 km away, and pick-up is possible upon request. Frauenfeld and Winterthur are 9 to 11 km away, and Zurich and Lake Constance can be reached by car in 40 minutes.
