Hotel Gasthof Post
Family-run for 80 years, Hotel Gasthof Post is situated in the centre of Elbigenalp in the Lech Valley. The restaurant has a terrace and serves Austrian cuisine and Tyrolean specialities.
In the 19th century, the Post Hotel was owned by Queen Marie of Bavaria, mother of King Ludwig II. The dining room and 3 of the bedrooms still date back to this period.
The individually furnished, Alpine-style rooms feature a flat-screen satellite TV, a safe, and a bathroom. Some have a balcony.
A varied breakfast buffet is available every morning, and a salad buffet is provided for dinner. Gluten-free dishes are available on request.
Free of charge, bicycles are provided in summer and toboggans can be used in winter.
A ski storage room and free parking are available on site. The Warth-Schröcken Ski Area can be reached in a 25-minute drive.
In summer, the Lechtal Aktiv Card is included in the rate. Benefits of this card include free use of local cable cars and buses.
As from December 2013, the Warth-Schröcken Ski Area offers direct access from the Lech Valley to the well-known Lech Ski Area. The Auenfeldjet Chair Lift provides a connection by ski between the 2 ski areas.
