The brewery in the village of Achouffe is the home of the famous La Chouffe unfiltered blonde beer. The village has many attractive bars and pavement cafes. A visit is highly recommended. Anglers will enjoy the pond at the Taverne La Grange where trout are plentiful. There is a heated open-air swimming pool in La Roche and an indoor swimming pool in Houffalize. Both are just a few kilometres away. The River Ourthe is not far. It is perfect for kayaking. The Baraque Fraiture and La Roche ski-areas are nearby. The holiday home is excellent in winter for skiers and cross-country skiers. Houffalize. on the River Ourthe. has pleasant restaurants. pavement cafes. an indoor swimming pool and the Houtopia Childrens World. La Roche. with its attractive little streets and historic fort. is well worth a visit.
