Grasmere House Hotel is set amid 1.5 acres of scenic gardens, rolling lawns and towering trees which back onto the banks of the rivers of Avon and Nadder, Only a few minutes' walk from the centre of Salisbury, it also offers cathedral views.
Each Grasmere room reflects the Victorian heritage of the property, as well as featuring modern facilities such as Wi-Fi and a TV with Freeview channels.
Views over the gardens and Salisbury Cathedral can be enjoyed from the restaurant, which specialises in classic British cuisine with international influences. Locally sourced ingredients are used where possible, and the hotel also hosts themed evenings.
Salisbury railway station is on the main London Waterloo line and is 20 minutes' walk or a 7 minute taxi ride away. Stonehenge is just 10 miles away. There is never a shortage of things to do in Salisbury or the wider area of Wiltshire, where some of the country's most important heritage sites can be found - including, Old Sarum and the ancient stone circles of Stonehenge and Avebury.
Salisbury has a racecourse with regular meetings and there is a wealth of excellent shops, museums and restaurants around the town. Salisbury Cathedral with its majestic spire can be seen from Grasmere House and is just a short walk away.
Wiltshire is also the home of some of the grandest stately homes and gardens - Wilton House, Longleat and Broadlands; or on a smaller scale, Avebury Manor and Mompesson House which is in the Cathedral Close.
